This year's Energy Star Congregation Awards have been released. Of the four congregations winning the award, three of them are porminent Southern Baptist churches.The winners are:
1) First Baptist Church of Dallas (Dallas, TX)
2) First Baptist Church of Springdale (Springdale, AR)
3) Idlewild Baptist Church (Lutz, FL)
4) Swarthmore Presbyterian Church (Swarthmore, PA)
I am especially pleased because Ronnie Floyd (First Baptist Springdale) and Ken Whitten (Idlewild) are SBECI signatories. They join Jack Graham--also an SBECI signatory--and Prestonwood Baptist Church, an Energy Star recipient in 2007.
